Role & Experience

With over seven years of experience in audit, I have developed a deep understanding of the not-for-profit sector, now focusing on charities and other NFP clients. My previous work with higher and further education institutions has given me a strong foundation in the education sector, allowing me to bring valuable insights to my current role.

Throughout my career, I have worked with a variety of not-for-profit organisations, including arts charities, hospitals, various trusts, and care homes. This diverse experience has given me a broad perspective on the unique challenges different organisations face and how best to support them.

I believe that the key value of an auditor lies in communication. Building strong working relationships with clients is essential—not only to understand their unique challenges but also to provide tailored recommendations that drive real improvements. By working closely with organisations, I help them navigate complex financial and regulatory requirements while ensuring transparency and efficiency in their operations.

Career

I began my audit career at RSM in 2018, where I spent several years working with a wide range of clients, developing a strong expertise in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in education. Recently, I joined Goodman Jones to help develop and grow their NFP department, bringing my experience and insight to support charities and other not-for-profit organisations in navigating their financial and regulatory challenges.

Interests

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, whether it's catching up over a meal or planning trips together. I also like playing badminton—mainly with others who, like me, aren’t very good but enjoy the game anyway! When I’m not on the court, I love reading and traveling, always looking for new places to explore and experiences to enjoy.
