Role and Expertise

I help guide businesses through the corporate tax world.  I particularly enjoy working with property companies and professional practices.  I help them to navigate the complexities of their businesses such as creating the right structure for the organisation and its future plans or working with family businesses and professional firms on succession planning.  I advise on large and complex assignments, many of which have an international element.  I am an active member of GMN International.

Testimonials

I am increasingly impressed when I pick up the phone to Graeme and receive robust and appropriate advice.

Having been in finance for my career, I expect a good tax adviser to be on top of rules and the numbers.  What marks out an adviser who truly adds value, is one who genuinely understands not just his client's business, but the people within it.  Graeme Blair at Goodman Jones guided us through the process of a share buy-back programme and did so in a way that anticipated our needs and complemented what we were doing internally.  It was a perfect partnership.

Career

Graeme has specialised in tax for over 21 years.  He joined Goodman Jones in September 2008, having spent the previous 12 years in the tax department of one of the national practices. Graeme started his career in audit and after 5 years he made his move into tax.

Interests

If it involves any combination of swimming, cycling and running then Graeme probably does it. Most weekends will find him competing in either cycling time trials, aquathlons, duathlons or triathlons. When he is not pushing himself he can be found at Stamford Bridge cheering on his beloved Chelsea. Clearly Graeme has an understanding wife and children!
